Major improvements in physical infrastructure have increased operational capacity, improved cargo handling capabilities, and enabled the port to accommodate growing trade volumes.

Today, Mogadishu Port handles an annual cargo capacity of approximately 3 million tons, efficiently managing a diverse range of cargo, including containerized goods, bulk commodities, general cargo, and specialized shipments. These advancements have contributed to faster turnaround times, improved logistics performance, and greater connectivity with international markets.
